Norway

I spent a week in Norway in August 2022. We visited the Lofoten Islands, Bergen, and a couple of the fjords close to Bergen. The scenery in Norway is unlike anywhere I’ve been. Highly recommend for any outdoor lover!

The best time to visit Norway

☀️ I recommend visiting in summer months (June to August) for mild weather and long daylight hours. If you are here from late May to mid-July, the sun doesn’t set in northern Norway! We visited in August and generally had beautiful weather.

❄️ If your goal is to see the Northern Lights, visit from December to February. This time is also ideal for winter activities like dog sledding, skiing, and snowmobiling.

🍂 If you visit in shoulder seasons (March to May or September to November), there will be fewer tourists and prices will be lower. However, the weather won’t be as good and some activities may be closed for the season.
